Media personality, Toke Makinwa, has advised women to leave abusive marriages even if they are not financially capable.

Toke, who divorced her husband in 2017, wrote on Instagram, “Staying in a domestic marriage because of financial gain or the lies you tell yourself about surviving is lame. I’m yet to see anyone who left a bad situation doing badly. It’s the fear that keeps you from your potential.”
